What an incredible journey it’s been!

Wow, what an incredible journey it’s been! Living, working, attending training courses, Erasmus projects, visiting friends, or just traveling over 40+ countries across three continents has been an eye-opening experience that has given me a unique set of skills and perspectives.

First and foremost, I’ve become extremely adaptable. Having spent time in different cities such as Paysandú, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Budapest, Gdansk, Berlin, Nagyvászony, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Madrid, Lisbon, Yerevan, Istanbul and Tel Aviv has taught me how to quickly adjust to new environments, cultures, and social norms.

Whether it’s navigating the bustling streets of Buenos Aires or settling into a quaint village in Vila Nova de Famalicão, I’ve learned how to be flexible and open-minded.

Another skill I’ve gained through my travels is communication. As I’ve explored different countries, I’ve had the opportunity to live and work with people from different cultures who speak different languages. This has helped me become a more patient and empathetic listener. Plus, it’s given me the confidence to speak up and communicate my own ideas and opinions in a clear and concise way.

Living, working, or visiting abroad has also taught me the value of independence. When you’re in a foreign city where you don’t know anyone, you have to rely on yourself to get things done. This has helped me become more self-sufficient and self-motivated.

Whether it’s figuring out how to navigate public transportation in Yerevan or finding a new place to live in Lisbon, I’ve learned how to take charge and make things happen on my own.

One of the most rewarding skills I’ve gained through my travels is cultural awareness. By immersing myself in different cultures, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the diversity of our world. Whether it was attending a training course in Yorkshire or working in Brasília, I’ve learned how to respect and appreciate different customs and traditions, and how to interact with people from all walks of life. This has helped me become a more well-rounded and compassionate person.

Finally, my travels have taught me the value of adventure and taking risks. Whether it was visiting the historical city of Gdansk or working in the bustling city of Madrid, living, working or just visiting abroad can be daunting at times, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. By stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences, I’ve learned that the world is full of endless possibilities. I’ve become more adventurous, curious, and excited about what the future holds.

In conclusion, I would highly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to live, work, attend training courses or just visit abroad extensively to take the leap! It may be scary at first, but the skills and perspectives you gain will stay with you for a lifetime. So pack your bags, hop on a plane, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!
